Daddy's Girl!

Rachel is already wrapped around Greg's finger :)

Mommy and me

Just the girls hanging out.

What does Molly think?

Who would have thought that Molly, our energy ball boxer, would already want to protect Miss Rachel. She has done so well with her and does not even get THAT jealous.

Bath Time

Rachel's first bath in the big baby tub. She didn't enjoy it very much but she smells oh so sweet.

Just the three of us

Rachel meets the family

Rachel got to meet her Grandma and Grandpa Allen and her Aunt Beth in the hospital and her Grandpa Hunt and Uncle Brian as soon as we got home. It was just precious.

Rachel re-vists the hospital

When we left the hospital on Friday, August 29th Rachel had elevated bilirubin levels (otherwise known as Jaundice). We went back every day to have her levels tested and on Monday, September 1st she was re-admitted to the hospital for UV Light Therapy. It was so pitiful to see her in that little case but it did the trick and we were released from the hospital the following day. Thank you all for your prayers and support!

Baby Rachel

Greetings all! On August 28th at 1:02 am, our new baby daughter came into this world. It has been one of the most exciting and exhausting times of our lives.

Angela and the baby are both recovering well. Probably the biggest change in our lives is our sleeping habits. Feeding a baby every 3 hours doesn't mean 3 hours during the working day. We both set our alarm clocks for the oddest times in the morning in order to feed Rachel. This was no surprise, as ever mother and father we ever talked to always gave us the same piece of advice before the baby was born; " . . . get your sleep now, because there is none after the baby comes." I feel it every single day now.

People have been so supportive in this life event. My mother, father, and sister all came up to visit us in the hospital and crashed at our house. By the time we got home, there was more food in the house than the local Kroger! On Saturday my father-in-law and brother-in-law came by and helped with yard work and some other house chores. To top that, we had some neighbors behind us (Tom, Tracy, Ashely, Ema, Owen, and Jack) bring us a full meal after we got settled at home!

The basic life necessities are what is valued during times like this. Food is the last thing that Angela and I think about preparing so it is the most important gift. Thanks to all who have been so supportive in our life journey.
