Greetings all! On August 28th at 1:02 am, our new baby daughter came into this world. It has been one of the most exciting and exhausting times of our lives.Angela and the baby are both recovering well. Probably the biggest change in our lives is our sleeping habits. Feeding a baby every 3 hours doesn't mean 3 hours during the working day. We both set our alarm clocks for the oddest times in the morning in order to feed Rachel. This was no surprise, as ever mother and
father we ever talked to always gave us the same piece of advice before the baby was born; " . . . get your sleep now, because there is none after the baby comes." I feel it every single day now.People have been so supportive in this life event. My mother, father, and sister all came up to visit us in the hospital and crashed at our house. By the time we got home, there was more food in the house than the local Kroger! On Saturday my father-in-law and brother-in-law came by and helped with yard work and some other house chores. To top that, we had some neighbors behind us (Tom, Tracy, Ashely, Ema, Owen, and Jack) bring us a full meal after we got settled at home!

The basic life necessities are what is valued during times like this. Food is the last thing that Angela and I think about preparing so it is the most important gift. Thanks to all who have been so supportive in our life journey.
